Emphasizing Safety Awareness, SG Held a Safety Challenge Competition to Commemorate 2023 National OHS Day

Rembang, 24 January 2023 – PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) held a safety challenge competition to commemorate the National Occupational Health and Safety (K3) day in the workshop area of the maintenance unit on Tuesday, 17 January 2023. All units and contractors joined the competition.

The Director of Production of PTSG, Reni Wulandari, and employees attended the activity.

The competition held consisted of several contests, which were a fire suppression contest, personal protective equipment (APD) game, and a first aid (P3K) contest. There were 24 teams competing, each of which was made up of 6 members.

The Director of Production of PTSG, Reni Wulandari, stated that health and occupational safety were the main priority of the company, and therefore, it was essential to commemorate K3 Day annually.

“This activity is not only about the safety challenge, but also about uniting the team and a reminder that the responsibility of health and safety is from each of us,” she added (24/1).

She continued that with the coming of 2023, they wanted to prevent accidents by complying with safety standards. “When an employee sees an unsafe act at work, they should not ignore it and must report it,” she insisted.

“This activity is meant to increase the skills and the abilities in managing safety risks, as well as to increase safety awareness, and therefore safety culture at the workplace is managed even better,” said the Head of PTSG K3 Day Committee, Alfi Fadlhi.

Alfi also mentioned that the K3 Day Program would be held from 12 January to 12 February, starting with a ceremony to commemorate K3 Day, a safety challenge competition, fun games, a walk event followed by a mass planting event, a blood donation event, and several other contests.
